Washington Redskins WR Josh Doctson, who is being counted on as a starter and big producer in 2018, had a “precautionary” MRI done on a leg on Monday.
Redskins players report to training camp in Richmond, Virginia tomorrow, Wednesday, and Doctson is expected to be among those players reporting on time. The team said it also expects him to take part in conditioning drills with the rest of the team.
Drafted out of TCU with the 22nds pick of the first round in 2016, Doctson played in only two games in his rookie season, catching two passes. However, he stayed healthy in 2017, playing in all 16 games. Doctson’s production varied wildly from week to week and he finished with only 35 catches for 502 yards (14.3), but he did score six touchdowns.
