Each week we compile a database of NFL Power Rankings for the week. This we have 29 different NFL Power Ranking sites listed. check them out here.
When averaging all 29 rankings out, the Redskins have an average rank of 8.45 and jumped an average of 2.68 spots after their 20-13 road win against the New York Giants. Here are a few comments from some of those sites.
Sporting News – Rank 8
Adrian Peterson keeps blowing us away with how well he keeps running after all these years. He was a steal of an addition to a run-heavy, run-stopping team.
NBC Sports – Rank 8
The Redskins defense looks the part of a playoff team. The last three weeks, Christian Mccaffrey, Ezekiel Elliott and Saquon Barkley have had less than 100 rushing yards combined.
While Alex Smith has struggled, Adrian Peterson continues to carry the load for the Redskins, including a 64-yard touchdown run to ice Sunday’s game against the Giants. Will it last?
Yahoo Sports – Rank10
A lot of people, particularly many in Nevada, thought the Giants-Redskins game was practically a tossup. That says a lot about where we are with Washington. The Redskins have been good, but they still were considered about the same as a Giants team that has been awful most of this season. It might take a long time for folks to respect Washington.
SI.com – Rank 11
The Redskins win again, and they trail the Eagles in these rankings again too. Which means we’re going to hear from some of their fans again this week too. But a win over Atlanta might be enough to finally flip the NFC East hierarchy in our poll next week.
Barstool Sports – Rank 10
Are the Redskins good? I think? Their lead in the division isn’t very big but they have a stretch of very winnable games to help them solidify their playoff positioning.
Pro Football Talk – Rank 7
I love a great story, and there’s no story better than a 33-year-old future Hall of Fame tailback leading a team he joined barely two months ago to a potential division title.
See them all right here.
