According to multiple reports on the Web, the Washington Redskins have signed WR Terrell Pryor to a one-year deal. The deal is valued at $8 million. This is a very good deal for a Redskins team that is desperate for good news.
The Redskins lost both DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon to free agency yesterday. Those losses were not entirely unexpected, as rumblings around the Redskins were a desire to get younger at receiver. Pryor fills an immediate needs as a down field threat and joins current receivers Jamison Crowder and 2016 first round pick Josh Doctson.
The fact the Redskins got Pryor on an $8 million dollar deal is a coup for a front office that has had a horrible two days. The one-year deal also allows the Redskins to bridge to other plans at wide receiver and to watch and see the development of Doctson.
As far as the NFC East, the Eagles gained Ashlon Jeffrey and Torrey Smith. The Giants inked Brandon Marshall. Now, the Redskins signed Terrelle Pryor. The NFC East is going to be a heavy throw division this coming season.
