Ahead of the start of NFL free agency later this afternoon, the Washington Redskins have resigned Kicker Dustin Hopkins. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Hopkins missed 8 games last season due to a hip injury. He was activated off the injury list with three weeks remaining in the 2017 season and finished the season with hitting 5 of 6 field goals and for the season converted made 14 of 17 field goal.
Hopkins joined the Redskins during the 2015 season. Since then, he has moved up the team stat charts. He ranks fifth in team history in field goals made (73), fifth in extra points made (93) and 13th in points (312). Fir his short career in Washington thus far, he also ranks second in franchise history with a 83.9 field goal percentage.
