The Washington Redskins will be addressing wide receiver right away via NFL free agency. The Redskins will be signing Seattle WR Paul Richardson, once free agency begins, to a five-year deal worth up to $40 million. The deal includes a $10 million signing bonus. Additionally, the deal has $20 million guaranteed.
Richardson is coming off his most productive season in Seattle. Last season, he served as Seattle’s second receiver beside Doug Baldwin. Richardson snagged 44 passes for 703 yards for a 16.0 yards per catch average, and 6 touchdowns. Richardson is best known for his blazing speed and leaping abilities, something Washington is lacking. Richardson was the 45th pick of the 2014 NFL Draft by Seattle.
