The 2018 preseason schedule for the Washington Redskins has been released and though some details are missing, we now know who the Skins will be playing and where.
The exact game dates for preseason weeeks two and four are known, but weeks one and three are still listed as taking place within a three or four day period.
|1||Aug. 9-13||TBA||@ Patriots||TBA|
|2||Aug. 16||8 PM||v. NY Jets||ESPN|
|3||Aug 24-26||TBA||v. Broncos||NBCSN|
|4||Aug. 30||TBA||@ Ravens||NBCSN|
The final preseason game could very easily feature the Skins defense seeing considerable time against former star QB Robert Griffin III, who recently signed with the Ravens.
The good news is that the team will have two easy trips in the preseason, first to the Boston area and last just less than an hour to the north and east in Baltimore.
The week two home game against the Jets will be played on national television, with ESPN earning broadcast rights.
Remember, weight and off-field conditioning begins for players on April 16, less than one week from today. The rookie minicamp is scheduled for May 11-13, when players selected by the Skins in the April 26-28 NFL Draft and undrafted free agent players will report for tryouts and early work.
The OTAs begin in May:
- May 22-24 – First edition of OTAs
- May 29-31 – Second editionof OTAs
- June 4-7 -Third edition of OTAs
June 11-13 will mark the mandatory minicamps before training camp begins in late July.
Football is returning, people.
